V aktuálnom repetitóriu sú stručne zhrnuté podstatné informácie o ochorení Molluscum contagiosum. Od definície, cez epidemiológiu, etiopatogenézu, opis lézií makroskopicky aj biopticky. Diferenciálna diagnostika MC upozorňuje na fakt, že aj toto, podľa praktikov jednoducho diagnostikovateľné ochorenie, môže byť v prípade netypických prejavov zdrojom omylov. Na záver sú uvedené používané terapeutické postupy.

Abstract
The current review briefly summarizes the essential information about Molluscum contagiosum. It covers the definition, epidemiology, etiopathogenesis, and a description of the lesions both macroscopically and histologically. The differential diagnosis of MC highlights the fact that even this condition – considered by practitioners to be easy to diagnose – may in cases of atypical presentation, become a source of diagnostic errors. Finally, the commonly used therapeutic approaches are presented.
